It has been wild. (Get it?) I had a very convoluted and controversial past. From animating for fun (even getting top-loved numerous times and featured) to simply becoming fame-hungry and very rude to people obliviously in late 2017 till late 2022 because of my lack of knowledge on socials and certain drama incidents between friend groups, my Scratch experience has been a rollercoaster of emotions. But I have repeated my controversies about me being a total rambler numerous times, so I'll instead talk about how Scratch has impacted me. (And yes, I am slowly changing for the good.) Scratch was a beginner's coding website that introduced me to Computer Science. Whilst I found fun in coding, what Scratch made me interested in more was animation since art was a personal hobby. With somewhat prior knowledge of Pivot and Go!Animate (yeah, that one...), I gave Scratch animation a shot, and it's safe to say that it has impacted me massively. There were points that I thought I was done with Scratch, but I rejoined later. Besides Scratch's moderation and what has been happening with the community, it doesn't take away the good memories and spark I had with this site. I met many people, and it gave me the confidence to show what I am capable of, to the point that this year, I started my career on YouTube and became a YouTube Partner, having nearly 2k subs, meeting with even more popular and talented creators and even got offered to work on a big fan project for a casual and fun industry experience (It's called "Cooking With Peppino" if you don't know yet, I have been carrying with the promo arts). And it's all because of my niche skillset, which I can animate with Scratch, viewed as a kid's programming IDE. With that in mind, and as an update, I haven't been active lately. Besides the fan project starting to go in full motion, I am in my final year at university for Computer Science. That means I will be swamped and trying to avoid myself from burning out so I can spend my spare time well. This also means that I am somewhat ""leaving"" Scratch. Turbowarp, despite its flaws, is powerful, but if I want to unlock my full potential, I need to find a suitable animation software. Even though coding in animation can add depth to my animation, it feels inefficient and redundant as my animations become more complex - even my custom block library for animation only helps a little. I will still be using Scratch, but not as much as I used to. I want to say thank you, everyone, for viewing my content for a year or more. If you came from my semi-viral intro project, which reached over 100k views on my channel, thank you for sticking by. I am still scared as I have been dwelling in Scratch for nine years. It has been only around half a year since I decided to branch out to the big platform. My future is still uncertain, and I am still scared, shy and not used to being there, but once I graduate, maybe my career path will be bright and clearer. Once again, thank you all. And have a nice day. Thank you, Scratch, for giving me a foreseeable future and inspiring many users like me. Scratch on. - WiLDCARD P.S. Sorry, I was going to make a snazzy short nine-year project, but I forgot/didn't have the time.
