Everything is by me. The angle of sunlight affects the length of daylight and the temperature variations for whatever side of the earth that the earth's axis is tilting towards the sun. If you are tilting towards the sun, then you will have longer daylight hours and hotter temperatures. In the Equinoxes, everything is equal because no part of the planet faces the sun for longer than the others.
