Madison Beach Railway #7 was bought in 1977, no one knows what happened to it before it or when it was built, it was bought from a private owner under the condition that they'ed restore it to operation and run it. In 1981 #7 was put into service and became instantly popular with the crews because of its ability to haul 6-7 car trains with ease. In 2003 #7 was taken out of service for a full rebuild and came out of it with a new tender and many other modifications. #7 returned to service in 2005 and has been in service ever since.
