I was going to post this before in October but I was too scared of the backlash that I might receive from posting my viewpoint on this. Heck, I can't even express my perspective out loud because of controversy. Does this have a writing format? Nah :) Palestinians, the people who are being fired at, can't even vote for a cease-fire while Israel is allowed to vote against one. UPDATE: The death toll in Gaza currently tops 38,000 and over 70,000 Palestinians have been injured (13,000 of dead Palestinians are children) OTHER UPDATE: The death toll is now at 61,000 and counting This entire conflict started 76 years ago and it has turned into genocide at this point. In Gaza currently, there are only 15 out of 36 partially functioning hospitals according to the World Health Organization due to the constant bombings that have occurred. Females in Gaza have resorted to using tent scraps for period products since there are none. A bystander held up a white flag of surrender and an Israeli soldier shot them just for that. The Wall Street Journal says that around or over 24,000 Palestinian lives have been taken at the hands of the war that continues to stir and that the number of deceased Palestinians grows continuously. Due to the bombings, a mosque was also destroyed because the Israeli government "claimed" that Hamas was hiding there; they weren't. Churches have also been bombed as well. Israel has bombed the third oldest church in the world; Saint Porphyrius Orthodox Church in Gaza, it was 1,616 years old. I can't even begin to talk about infant deaths that were caused because of the current conflict in the Middle East. The bombings wiped out an entire school district in the Gaza Strip. Children, toddlers even, have lost their parents or even their own lives. This is oppression. America does support Israel and continues to fund it with resources while Palestinians starve. The Palestinians deserve their land back and deserve to be free. They've had so much taken from them and it's unfair.
