Chapter 9---Landon Landon walks around the cafe and moves his hair out of his eyes. He had straight black hair and green eyes, but his eyes were often covered by his hair. “You almost done in there?” Landon yells at his friend, Kat. “Yea! Almost done,” she yells back. She was in the kitchen grabbing food for the two of them. He hears the door to the cafe open and he grabs his sledgehammer. “We got company.” Kat puts the food in Landon’s military backpack and grabs her bat. A human with a lab coat runs in, holding his left arm. “Another human?” Kat says. The blonde haired human stops and looks at the two. He smiles. "Oh thank God. Another human." He walks over to the two of them. "My name is Lively. What are yours?" "I'm Landon, that's Kat," he says pointing over to the girl to his left. "Nice to finally meet someone who isn't trying to murder me," Lively says, clearly relieved. "Nice to meet you, too," Kat says with a smile. The door opens again. "Uh oh." Landon goes to check who is at the door, but there is no one. He hears footsteps but no one is on the ground. Lively and Kat head towards him. "Who's there?" Kat asks. "No one..." he says. He sees a drop of red slime go past his face. He looks up to see 5 slime hounds up on top of the cafe, ready to pounce and chase. "Run." He says. The door opens and the three of them sprint out, followed by 5 hounds out to kill. The chase was on.
