Incident Log #07 April 16 1998 Report Author: Matthias Barlowe Author ID (Last 4 Digits): 0942 Malfunction Type: Cargo Elevator Malfunction Malfunction Details: Severe damage to electrical system; generator fried Personnel Deployed: Electrical Crew #1107 Incident Description: At 6:47 PM, an employee notified the Facility Maintenance team that a shipping elevator (Elevator #802) was not properly functioning, as the elevator was not calling to the desired floor, and a colleague had not yet received a shipment. Electricians were promptly alerted to the issue. Electrical Crew #1107 were sent down to investigate the problem at 7:00 PM. Electricians arrived at 7:24 (PM), according to motion sensor data. When the elevator was accessed, all delivery contents (later confirmed to be scientific equipment by the aforementioned employee) were missing from the cargo elevator. After further investigation, it was discovered that the generators responsible for powering Cargo Elevator #802 were completely burnt out, and will require a replacement. An order has already been placed for said equipment. Staff will, for the time being, have to use Cargo Elevators #801 and #800, or staff transport elevators for movement of supplies. END LOG
