Suprise! Yet another poem! ========================================= Let's get this straight... I have this friend. She is so important to me. She is actually one of the people I care about most. I felt like she needed a poem.
- Daniel Kushner ( He's amazing!!! ) Daylight --- I used to live in a cave of obscurity No one knew I existed Or cared I thought about escaping But the daylight burned my skin The scars might fade But they will never heal I told myself hiding was the best I hid from the daylight Praying I would never have to face it again Until a tall character with beautiful blonde hair Walked up to me with a smile on her face Her personality screamed with light But this light was different It didn’t hurt when she was near No, it made me stronger She tried to coax me out of the cave She wanted me to leave the darkness behind And come out into the light I gathered some courage and took a step out The character walked up to me and held my hand I couldn’t feel the pain anymore It was like she was a shield A protection A friend From that day on I stayed by her side And never felt the burns of daylight hit my skin again
