-Not Defeated, YET- It was a streak. In dueling I was undefeated. I was the best on the team. My goal was for Hannah to come and watch it. I was walking over, ready to duel. Then all of a sudden I see a girl. Named Charlotte Malfoy. “Hey, I’m Charlotte. And I’m going to ruin your streak.” She said smiling. “That’s pretty straight up. But we’ll see about that.” I said grinning. When in the duel, I was winning- for a while. Suddenly, I don’t know what happened but she ended up winning. My streak was ruined. But there was something about Charlotte. I just didn’t know what. “Hey, good game. But I told you I’d win.” Charlotte said, smirking. I smiled, “Yeah, you surprised me there.” “I guess I’ll talk to you another day.” “Wait- I don’t think I introduced myself. I’m Noah Evans. And you did really well.” She smiled, and continued to walk away. All of a sudden Hannah came up to me. “Great job Noah!” Hannah said smiling. “Yeah, but I still lost.” “But you tried your best!” I smiled. And started to walk away. “I’ll be at the library! Bye Noah!” Once she said she was going to be at the library- that gave me an idea. What if, I ask her to the Yule Ball. I was so up to it! [AT THE LIBRARY HALLWAY] As I walked up to the library. I saw Hannah and a guy named Jaxon Lauren. One of the guys I beat in dueling. I was listening to their conversation. I peeked out one of the walls to listen closely. “Uhm, Hannah. It’s okay if you say no but will you go to the Yule Ball with me?” He said. I was struck- nothing to say. I was hoping she would say no. “Pinch me.” “Huh?” “I mean- YES. Yes I will go to the Yule Ball with you.” I was then heartbroken. Nothing to say- speechless. That day felt worse.
