So. Here is a popular idea about hollow knight I've been distressed about. Here it is: HORNET IS(N'T) VOID I've been distressed about this because I think it is made VERY clear that she IS NOT VOID. But sadly you cannot have an argument without reasoning or evidence as ridiculous as that stuff is so I guess I'll have to present it. So let's look into why she was even born: to put it simply, because of a deal. The Pale King, ruler of Hallownest, and Herrah the Beast, monarch of Deepnest, were...not at terms with another, partly because The Pale King here tried to build a tram through Deepnest and the spiders were all like NUH-UH so they destroyed the tram. But back to the subject-The Pale King needed three dreamers to stop the infection-Lurien the Watcher, Monomon the Scholar, and you-know-who. The Pale King tried offering Herrah everything to get her to become a dreamer-but she wouldn't budge. But when he offered the one thing Herrah could not possibly resist-not in a million years-she broke down. And what was that? Well, more like who. Hornet. Herrah's mate had died recently and, although hating The Pale King, knew that if she had a child with him, said child would grow up to be a monarch worthy of ruling Deepnest. So they had a child-Hornet. And I know what you're thinking: "Aloe, you've steered us completely off track." I HAVEN'T. So why does this connect to this idea? Like I said before, Hallownest and Deepnest HATED each other. The Pale King didn't care what happened to Deepnest as long as it didn't affect his kingdom, and vice versa. Already with tons and tons of *ahem* spawn, adding another vessel to the mix would have zero effect. And Herrah would definitely notice if he tried to get away with turning the literal only heir to the throne into a mindless vessel for Five Pebbsi: Angry Edition. So yeah! This is why Hornet is not void! Goodbye and have a good-Wait. WAIT. "You don't have enough reasons Aloe. You are unjustified. Hornet IS void and I will prove it!" *sighs* *points to "no voice to cry suffering"* *points to hornet dialogue* *hornet dialogue 615 lines long* *sighs again* well...that's it folks. GOODBYE
Hollow Knight by Team Cherry (when will f*cking silksong release) Five Pebbsi is an easter egg from somewhere :)
