Velociraptor was a dromeosaur from the cretaceous period. It was around two feet tall and covered in feathers. It lived in the Gobi desert and hunted herbivorous dinosaurs such as protoceratops. It was one of the closest relatives to birds and it had large bird-like eyes. It was very intelligent and likely hunted at night. One fossil has been found that had a velociraptor attacking a protoceratops, this fossil was named The Fighting Dinosaurs.
