Willow Potter - Chapter 8

Instructions

Two days later, I'm fully healed (Of my shock, Madam Pomfrey said I could leave yesterday, but I was still kinda petrified, so she said I could stay a bit longer.) and get to go have dinner at the great hall. I had a few spare minutes left, so I decide to go to the library. I start looking through the shelves (And shelves and shelves and shelves and shelves) of books for one that I liked. I notice that there's no other people here, and smile. //It's more peaceful this way.// I think. I see a book titled 'Mythical creatures and how to tame them' and reach out to grab it. I tug at it, and it comes free. I see movement in the gap where the book was, and look through it to find a boy reading the same book. I go around the shelf to see if it was Harry, and it wasn't. Instead, I see a brown haired boy with rectangular glasses looking at me. I shyly say "Hi" and with a smile, he replies "Hi. Oh! you have the same book as me!" I blush and ask "Do you like care of magical creatures too?" "Of course I do! I'm Ethan by the way, Ethan Mintz." //Hmmm, that name, I'm sure I know it from somewhere.// He glances down at his watch and yelps "We're going to miss dinner if we don't hurry!" And rushes to the great hall. I glance at the clock on the wall to find that Ethan was right, so I rush off too. I meet Chrysanthi at the Ravenclaw table and start eating. "Willow, I want you to tell me about the earmuff incident again." Chrysanthi said, while twirling spaghetti around her fork. I groan, put down my fork and say, "The only thing I remember was someone knocking my earmuffs off, saying my name, then being knocked out and waking up in the hospital wing. I've said that to you like, 20 times already!" Chrysanthi raises an eyebrow and I rest my chin on my hand and say, "Okay, maybe not twenty, but at least 10!" and shift in my chair uncomfortably, knowing what she was going to ask me next. "And you're absolutely sure that you know who the voice is from?" At that, I shoot Chrysanthi a look. "Okay, okay. just checking" she says. After dinner, we head to the Ravenclaw dormitories, and when we were in the common room, I say to her "Oh! Just before dinner, I went to the library, and met a boy called Ethan. Do you know him?" Chrysanthi starts laughing and I raise an eyebrow. After Chrysanthi had stopped laughing, she said, "Willow, He's my cousin! Of course I know him! He stays with us for the Christmas holidays! I've already told you that!" //Oohhhhh. THAT'S where I heard his name before// I think, as we're walking up the stairs to the girls dormitories. We get changed into our pyjamas and get snug in bed. And as soon as my head touches my pillow, I'm asleep.
