You know those people who change your whole life? I’ve never had someone like that. You know those people who care for you every day? I’ve never had someone like that. People say my life is sad. Maybe it is. Maybe I’m just a joke. Every person I loved, I lost. Nobody has ever taken me seriously. I had a few friends before, turns out they were a joke. All they wanted was for me to do all the work for them. I live with cold-hearted people. People I care about, but I would lose myself if I lost them. When I woke up, I was depressed. Like always. Nothing ever excites me. That’s probably because nothing exciting happens. I spend my birthdays alone. What’s the point of it anymore? I walked to the mirror. I looked at myself in the mirror. Seeing a better person. But I don’t see myself. I see a guy with dark brown hair and no smile. “Leo… Get ready. You're going somewhere.” Said one of the ladies quietly. I already knew where I was going. “Hey Leo! Could I borrow your brush?” Said my little sister Leah. “Why not? Just go grab it.” I replied. “I don’t want you to go! You're going to Hogwarts. Where mom and dad went when they were young.” “I know I’m going to Hogwarts. But you will always be my little sister.” I said, braiding her hair. “I’ll miss you.” Leah said. I could see tears falling down her eyes. “I’ll miss you too,” I said, finishing her hair. “Now, I have to get ready. I’ll miss you when I’m at Hogwarts. And keep on sending me notes!” [After Getting Ready] Leah sprints over to me as I open the door. “Bye Leo, please don’t forget about me. And I hope you make friends.” Leah said, crying. “What makes you think I’m going to forget about you?” “You’ll probably have so much fun at Hogwarts to where you don’t care about me anymore!” “Yeah right, you’ll always be my sister and I won’t forget about you! I have to go now unless you want me to miss the train.” [On The Train] When I got onto the train it wasn’t nearly what I expected. It had all sorts of compartments. I just wanted to find one with nobody in it. I walked into an empty compartment with a slight smile on my face. It was quiet. Peaceful. I sat down having a surprisingly good time. I was hoping I could make a friend at Hogwarts.
