I woke up ran downstairs. It was Christmas Day. It was my favorite holiday. I accidentally stubbed my toe on the way down. I immediately thought that this year would be a somewhat of a bad Christmas. Days that start off bad for me, usually get worse. I could smell the Ham my Mom was making for Christmas lunch. I went down and saw the pile of Christmas presents under the brightly colored tree. The fireplace was already on, my Dad was watching the TV. The Christmas specials of old TV shows were running all day. I went out to help mom cook, like I always do. I told her, "Good morning". My mom looked at me, very cheerfully and spoke. "Good morning sweety. Want to help me cook?" I nodded, still about half asleep, although I feel energy running through me because of the excitement. She looked and saw how I was still a bit tired. She the said, "How about you go get a bath to help wake you up first, that way you will be clean for Grandma and Grandpa, and you will be awake enough to help me cook." I walked to our laundry room and grabbed a towel to go get a bath. I went to the bathroom and ran the bath water. I then heard a noise, a door opening and closing, and someone saying "Merry Christmas". The voice was familiar to me, I then placed it. I ran out of the bathroom and jumped and hugged the guy that said "Merry Christmas", my brother. He left a few years ago when he turned 18 and we hadn't seen him since. But now I finally can see him again. He hugged me back and told me, "I missed you too, Ciara." Mom and Dad ran over and hugged him as well. "We all missed you, Seth."
(Beware, this is just A chapter of a small chapter book, I will and want to make more of this story, but I am making it an annual thing. Around next Christmas I will release the next chapter)
