KITTEN HEADDY --------------------------- The instructions display themselves immediately after you click the green flag. They will disappear after 5 seconds. Use the mouse and click where you want the Cat's head to go. Hit the red, avoid the yellow. GAMEPLAY ------------------ You cannot hit the red or the yellow if it's eyes are shut (which only occurs after you've hit them.) Wait until their eyes are open to hit them, or if you're a fan of rapid fire, you can just hold down the mouse button and move it wherever, inadvertently hitting them right as they open their eyes; however, be prepared to lose a lot of points if the yellow gets in the red's way. Note that once the clock has stopped, the character's head spins and enlarges. In the process it will touch one or both of the targets, either adding to or taking from your score by 25 points. This said, when submitting your final score in the comments, honesty is the best policy; your final score is indicated by a red arrow which shows up beside your score after the ending fanfare. Scoreboard - Top 5 ---------------------------- 1. Richard2000 - 1175 Pts. 2. Lucas_shaffer_2011 - 825 Pts. 3. TT1243 - 575 Pts. 4. CNfan97 - 550 Pts. 5. Sanol - 425 Pts.
This will likely be my final Scratch Project. My activity on this wonderful website has dwindled. Extremely. Post your final scores in the comments. This project is a nod to "Dynamite Headdy", an action game produced in 1994 by Treasure for the Sega Genesis. It's explosive battles, fluid controls suited for it's archetypal platform style, and full, fast-paced gameplay has made it one of the best games of all time, and to this day still sees a significant fan following (a few years ago the game was also released on Steam, though it was previously included in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the PS3 and Xbox 360.) The game includes music from Dynamite Headdy, though I did use some royalty-free sound effects. Thanks to the composers of the Dynamite Headdy OST, as well as the creators of the sound effects used. Aside from the background graphic and the original design of the Scratch Cat (courtesy of the Scratch team at MIT), as well as any of the royalty-free fonts used, all graphics were hand-drawn by me. Thank you to the Scratch team for the backgrounds and thank you to the creators of the fonts which were used. Try to get as high a score as you can- I almost got to 1200! Thank you- for those who still ask questions about my projects, I will occasionally return to check my notifications and respond to as many of your comments as possible. The response to the tank project (which was heavily based on another project) was overwhelming, but it's my hope that you'll be more interested in some of my other projects.
