A little species I made that a friend helped name lol This one is special because it was part of a program of releasing this things into a city to eat pests, which worked to a shocking degree. So one clean they took all the worms, and moved them to a more stable environment. Unfortunately this one was left behind in that matter, and with the lack of smaller prey (which is often preferred by them) they have taken to trying to hunt the large overpopulation in that city, humans. (Biology if you’re curious :]) It an omnivorous creature with a preference to meat and that shows bit of both arthropod and mammal biology. It’s an ambush predator with a special mimic ability that if they watch a member of another species long enough, they can form a new set of vocal cords (similar to how koalas have two) and use that new set to mimic any words they pick up that they can use to lead prey away from a group to catch and eat it. They are long and fluffy with a growing number of legs as they mature, the most they get is five without mutations. They also have antenna which they use in their other way of mimicking, which is finding a host it can fit inside of, eating any unnecessary inertial workings, then scratching a large hole into a host’s skull and using its antenna to paralyze the host while they take control of motor functions. This normally leaves the host some sort of brain dead or fully dead.
