I've been stalking this DTA for a design that reaaaally spoke to me and called to me. As soon as I saw "crown" i squealed with excitement and opened my drawing program! I've always had an obsession with corvids, and this character design was really fun so now I shall tackle it. I am especially proud of the backgrounds. Speaking of backgrounds, character backstory incoming! Lonan was raised in the poor, winding streets of their hometown. Although their family wasn't wealthy, he grew up a happy little fellow. He spent a lot of their days watching the crows from the little balcony on his house. He slowly befriended a pair of them, who turned out to be birds from the Ministry of Postage. Post, in his kingdom, was much more prestigious than it is in our world. Usually letters were carried by avians, depending on what part of the kingdom they were being sent to. Crows often were sent to the poorer areas, and "more elegant" birds were sent to the richer. Lonan would often peer at the crows, which they sought out to slowly befriend. The birds would often bring him letters in exchange for snacks. They'd often read and study them, despite the fact they were usually addressed to others (he'd have the crows deliver them to the correct person afterward) One day, however, there was a letter sent directly for him? The Ministry, using communicative magic with the crows, had noticed Lonans interest in letters and postage. The crows spoke so highly of him he was mistaken as a nobleman, and invited to go to the Ministry's Academy Of Postage and Literature. (Mapl/Maple) Perhaps if he performs well enough, he could build a living for himself and his family, securing a brighter future. Who knows what adventures await?
