I have literally no idea what compelled me to write this. This is incredibly different from my usual writing style and I've no idea how this will hold up in a contest. I wanted to try a narrative, I guess, and I wanted to actually write something short for once. Either way, this was an interesting experiment that took like less than an hour, so I hope you enjoy it!
