I just realized something that seems really silly to me-- In Gravity Falls, there were a lot of things that Disney wanted Alex to censor. But the stupid thing is, they care more about censoring references to spin the bottle, teddy bear costumes, and lgbtq+ relationships, whereas they don't give two Pitt Colas about the blood and even horror elements sometimes present in the show. Isn't that weird?! This is supposed to be a kids' show. (I mean, it isn't really, but it's supposed to be.) Kids aren't going to care about a guy wearing a trans necklace or what the end of that limerick might have been! But the blood and frightening scenes could be pretty scary for children. I mean, I'm fine with what we have, I just think it's kind of stupid that they care more about little things than what might actually trigger someone. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
