The Heckler and Koch MP5-K (MaschinenPistole 5 in German) is a Submachine Gun (SMG) developed from 1964-1966 by the Heckler and Koch company in Germany. It is the most widely used SMG in the world and many variations and one successor has been made to it. In 1968 the German Federal Police adopted it. Its successor, the UMP is used but not as much due to cost reasons.
