On November 4th, my cousin and his best friend were killed by an oncoming train at the ripe age of 19 years old. It was a tragic loss in our family because of how special he was in our hearts. He was a son, an uncle, a friend, and a brother to my 6 year old cousin. Though I wasn’t close to him like my other cousins, I still remember the times we would chat over holiday, about some silly things and the way he brightened our lives. He will be missed and on the day of his funeral, today, I have never cried harder in my life. I was struggling not to break down and wail but somehow I held it in. As for his best friend, I never met him, but from what I heard, he has similar dreams as my cousin. They were inseparable and it breaks my heart that their journey was cut short dude to some silly mistake. This is a reminder to everyone on this earth, live your life to the fullest, because you never know when you see your last sunset, last face, or take your last breath. Please be kind in the comments as I am still in a loss for words and in incredible pain, such as my family.
