I don't think I can pick one favorite anime. Maybe Ouran Highschool Host Club? (They are all so good) My first anime was technically Hetalia, though Ouran was the first one I really got into. I generally prefer Dub because I'm not very good at multitasking and often lose track of what's going on because I'm too busy reading. I usually like the romance stuff. I know, sappy. But it's fun. I don't really like the violent gory stuff (though I am a fan of Death Note...) I'd recommend probably Ouran or Free. They're fun and not too thinky.
