This took me a long time, I tried to think of key elements of the beach, so I thought of the gritty texture of the sand, and the sea foam, and the idea of the cycle of life, with big fish eating smaller, etc and to incorporate that into a sort of attractive, simple, clear dress. My dress wasn't originally for a mermaid, but it turned into that as I went along.
