★ Plaintext transcription! ★ 1. intro - Hi! I'm Robyn or Raine! I'm a transfem girlflux who uses she/they/xe/it pronouns - I have been in the Hive for around a year now! -I like technology and creative storytelling, including things like gamedev and animation! -I'm usually pretty regularly online for most of the day! (from around 10 AM - 6 PM MST) 2. pros - I am very empathetic and am good at helping others. -I am very silly usually, but I can also be serious if the need arises. -Good at de-escalating conflict (most of the time) -Good at comforting others -Previous managing experience -Accepting of new ideas! -Very mature (mostly) 3. cons - mood swings / rsd :[ -impulsive af -not always the best at emotional regulation -often makes emotion-based decisions, instead of logic based - bad with conflict (but I'm working on it!!) -some biases with hive members -not always mature 4. unique things! -firsthand experience with transfem and neurodivergence related issues! -big ideas + ambition -fun and interactive games! 5. stance on issues the hive is a safe space for all. everyone should feel safe and welcome during their time in the hive. therefore, things like identity discourse and mocking / misusing tws, or not using tws for something someone is triggered by should NOT be allowed. newcomers should always be welcome. despite the actions of others, we should always strive to treat every single member in the hive with respect, kindness, and civility. lgbtq+ related vents and minor vents should be allowed, but maybe we should require vents to be tagged in some way. managers and studio members alike have a responsibility to keep the atmosphere safe. this means keeping comments appropriate, constructive, and civil. additionally, to mitigate issues of new members feeling ignored and isolated out of the social hierarchy, we could implement some sort of "welcoming crew" to help the new members feel welcome. managers should lead by example, and strive to set a precedent for the studio's environment and actions. change starts with us and nothing will get better if we don't work to fix it. 6. what i'd improve I would focus on the community aspect of the hive! making sure everyone has a voice and everyone feels like they belong, as well as involving them in decisions and fun, community events! things like this bring the hive together and build camaraderie, making the hive function better as a group! 7. who i'd reccomend : ! Meta is friendly and sweet, and is good at resolving conflicts! She is very fun and I think she'd make a great manager of the hive. She has a unique perspective on issues, but her being in Sweden could cause some timezone conflicts. On multiple occasions, Meta has put a smile on my face and helped de-escalate drama. : ! Aya is very mature and cool under pressure, good at talking to people and is very savvy about things like world events, politics, and other issues. She is very cynical and ironic at times (which could be a double edged sword). During the great sockpuppet crisis in particular, she was very put together and helped to calm down the hive and remind everyone of the rules. : ! Wren is one of the sweetest people I know! He is good at handling conflicts and de-escalating situations, and has shut down constant vagueposting many times before. They are a wonderful, creative person, with a lot of big ideas and personality, but their occasional mental health struggles might undermine their ability to manage. I hope I am considered! :j
