A prime number is any whole number greater than 1 that is only divisible by 1 and itself, and can-not be divisible by anything else.
The number of factors are neither fractions nor decimals it's just to make the meaning easier. If you divide a prime number other than 1 and itself, it will give you a non-zero remainder.
