Anyway, the time period of my artwork and story is the 1950's. It took me a few months to complete, and the song took me five weeks. Despite the massive amount of time this took, I had fun The person in the poodle skirt is named Laura, and the person in the blue suit is David.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Dance with me - Story ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ David was standing awkwardly in the crowd, nervously fiddling with the buttons on his waist coat. Prom was a big thing to him, despite graduating three years ago. Love was a stranger to David, standing alone in the crowd, looking over heads for a certain woman, eventually seeing her in her favorite dress. Laura ran over to David, as fast as her legs could go. He lifted her up, spinning around before placing her back down with a wide smile. Laura, like David, had never known love, but felt she needed a date for her prom, and the last year she'd attend high school. David and Laura chatted away, but barely needed to catch up. Each knew each other like the back of their hand, like siblings should. Yes. Laura had asked her brother to go to prom with her, as she was too embarrassed to go alone. They stood, talking for hour. Until the juke box started to play a famous song. One they knew like the back of their hands. "Come." David said, looking down at Laura, knowing just how nervous she was. "Dance with me." ((Side note: They are siblings. Laura was on her last year and didn't have a date. She was considering skipping prom, as she is aromantic, but her older brother David had insisted they go together. They are not going as a couple! David just didn't want Laura to miss out.
