December 3rd, 2023 I was gifted a diary for my birthday. I know you're supposed to write what happens everyday, but I thought it would be fun to write whats happened up until now. Me and my sister Floral were born in a peaceful valley. We never met our father, and we were taken care of by our mother, Calliope. When it became winter, we couldn't find enough food. Our mother took us away from our home to find somewhere with more prey. We settled down in a pine forest. Mom didn't know the forest as well as she did the valley, so whenever she went out she told us to stay put in our den. I was fine with it but Floral wanted to explore. I always managed to convince her to stay until one day a big orange lizard with wings, which I later learned was called a dragon, came up out of the ground. Floral hopped out of the den to investigate. She ran up to the dragon and asked it a bunch of questions. I climbed out of the den and went to Floral, urging her to go back into the den. She didn't listen and kept pestering the dragon. It didnt reply, and instead turned around and walked away. She tried chasing after it but fell into some hole the dragon left behind. I leapt after her, and we came out in a loud place, with colorful things whizzing by. There were large gray structures shooting up into the air. We had no idea what was going on. We saw a couple of animals and decided to go ask them where we were. One of them answered ''What a silly question. Surely you two have heard of Allure City?" We shook our heads. ''Lemme guess. You saw an orange dragon, a dragon's like a mythical reptile thing that flies, by the way, and you fell into a portal.'' We nodded ''Thought so. You'll want to talk to Mouse. He lives over by two blue trash cans in that alley.'' She gestured to the place she was talking about. And that's where I'll leave it for tonight. Floral is already asleep and it's getting late.
