::ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ᴏɴᴇ:: “As if any day could get worse.” I thought to myself. Me and my sisters were all walking home from school. I was walking quietly. Not listening to what Bella was saying. “Courtney? Courtney?” Bella continued. I snapped out of my thoughts. “Oh, um. Hey.” “Were you even listening to what I said?” “Umm, yeah?” “Okay then, what did I say?” “You said… we were going home and it would be a blast?” “Nope! Wrong! Courtney, you’ve got to start listening!” “Bella, be nice to Courtney.” Skylar said, frowning at Bella. “She wasn’t even listening to what I said! It’s very important! Mother wanted me to tell you!” Bella argued. “Okay, if this is SO important, what is it?” Skylar said with sarcasm. Bella rolled her eyes and said, “So you know how mother and father went to Hogwarts when they were about our age?” Me and Skylar nodded. “Anyways, mother wanted me to tell you guys that we will be attending Hogwarts, the school of magic.” Bella said, firmly. She sounded smart. I smiled and said, “So we will be leaving our hometown?” Skylar nodded. “What do you think? We’ll have to go onto a train. That doesn’t mean the train is nearby.” Skylar said. “Skylar is right, we aren’t going to be near home. But don’t worry, I’ve been researching about Hogwarts, and we’ll be back at home for winter break, and all of that.” Bella replied. “Okay, I’ll miss home. But, my dream is to learn magic!” I said, Skylar and Bella brightened up my mood. We were walking for a while. But we soon arrived home. “Hello! Bella, Courtney, Skylar and- wait? Where’s Leah?” Mother asked. “Leah stayed home, remember?” Bella said. Mother sighed, “What will I ever do without you, Bella? You're always reminding me.” All of a sudden, Leah came running down the stairs. “How’s school?” Leah asked. “It was perfect! I got all straight A’s!” Bella exclaimed. “It was okay. For my test I got a B+.” Skylar said. “I also got straight A’s! And I’m going to read my book!” I said. “Wait! Did Bella already tell you?” Mother asked us. “Yes, I told them There's no need to worry,” Bella replied. “But I forgot to tell them one thing, we will have to go onto the train tomorrow.” My eyes widened. I heard Bella’s whole sentence. Would I not be able to say good-bye? “Where's father?” Leah asked. “He is shopping. Remember?” Bella said. Leah sighed, “Why are you always correcting me! I can’t stand it!” Leah stomped up the stairs to her bedroom. “Get ready for tomorrow.” Mother said. Skylar hugged mom, and walked up the stairs toward her bedroom. I waved, and followed Skylar, but went to my bedroom. I opened the new book I grabbed from school. “The Land Of Stories.” I said to myself. I loved the suspense of the book, I loved the smell of a brand new book, I also loved flipping the pages, it was like I was dreaming. When I wasn’t. I heard knocking on the door. “Who is that?” I thought to myself. I opened the door, seeing Bella. “Look, Courtney. I know it’s hard starting a new school. But now you have a chance to make new friends.” Bella said. I looked at Bella. Bella was always right. She was like the mother of us. She’s always making sure me, Skylar, and Leah are okay. “Mother’s always busy. And just know I’m always here for you.” Bella said, with a soft voice. “This is for you.” She handed me a small box. It was very pretty. It was a baby blue, with gems on it. I decided not to open it yet. “I’m going to check on Skylar now. I hope you like the gift.” Bella said. I smiled, I wished I could stay with Bella forever. She would be the one to protect me whenever someone bullied me. She would make sure I felt better when I would cry. A tear fell down my eye. As I opened the box… ::ᴄʀᴇᴅɪᴛꜱ:: ∘ ʙᴇʟʟᴀ ::
