Hey there! It's @lunar-x-celestiial, and I have an update for y'all! This morning I bought a bunch of horses from @CloudyEcho's horse purge. I had them trailered over from Skyview (although they'll be headed back soon when we move in!) and today I'm moving in my horses that'll be living in the closed barn, I'm going to move in my pasture horses this afternoon. 1 - First, I brought in Cougar. He's a gorgeous dark red roan. I didn't have halters for any of them because I need to get them tack-fitted. I used hand ques and a bit of a lunging crop to guide him. He was super chill and did really well. He was curious about his surroundings, but we didn't let him say hi to the others just yet. We want to give the horses a week or so to move in before they start working and being social. 2 - Next, I brought in Prince. He was even more energetic, and got slightly overwhelmed. He definitely made many attempts to wander off, but for his safety and the other horses' safety we had to keep him away. 3 - We then brought in Topaz! I love this guy so much. He's a gorgeous roan, and happily trotted inside before stopping and waiting for me. He seemed content but not super social, which is normal. He wasn't aggressive though. We might move him out to the pasture in a day or so because his filly is going to be living out there. 4 - Astra was similar! She too trotted in before waiting for me, but instantly lifted her tail and started showing off for the other horses. She's gorgeous! She was extremely at ease too, so she'll probably be one of the first I start work with again. 5 - Reese! Aww, this little mare is absolutely adorable! She walked in with me and stayed quite calm. She was very shy though, and stuck near me. As soon as we entered, Snowburst, my Boulannais Draft, reached his head out of his stall to say hi, and she shied away before coming on my other side. It was perfectly normal for her to be nervous, but we're going to have to try to socialize her because we don't want her to be lonely, plus the shy ones don't make the best breeders. 6 - Then, I brought in Feather. He was like Cougar, completely calm and chill, and a bit indifferent to the horses around him. He looked around a bit, but also paid attention to me. I can tell he's going to make a great ride! (In The Stalls) 7 - I then put Cougar away. He instantly adjusted to his new environment, without even walking around. He kinda just stood there, so I decided to leave and settle in the next horse so he could have some alone time. 8 - Prince entered, then started strutting around his stall. He seemed quite anxious. I'll give him an hour or two, and when I come to do my noon chores, if he's not settled, I'll take him out to the pasture. 9 - When Topaz went into his stall, he took a lap then stood there. I knew he was tired, so I decided to leave him so he could calm down and take a nap. 10 - Astra was on high alert all throughout today's events, so I'll leave her in here until noon as well. I may take her out to the pasture too. 11 - Reese followed me in and walked around a bit. She looked okay so I went to leave, but she tried to follow me. I felt bad leaving her because she obviously was feeling nervous and didn't want me to leave her. So I assured her I'd be just nextdoor in the neighboring stall, and I'd be back soon. 12 - After taking Feather in, he started scratching his head on the wall. He looked perfectly at ease, so I said bye and headed back to Reese. Asdfghjkl thanks for coming along with me and watching my nonsense xD Credits :: Cougar, Topaz, Astra, Reese, Prince, and Feather : Stable Isle : Rider Base : Crop : Stall + Gate :
