He and his siblings - Taffy`paw, Roly-poly`paw and Stone`paw - became apprentices that day. It was so exciting! They saw the territory with their new mentors, and they'll be learning how to hunt and be a true MossClan warrior! But that day, a thought hit the tall tom's mind. Everyone was figuring themselves out. Everyone were forming their groups and learning about themselves... His siblings were already comfortable in one department. Taffy`paw knew their gender fluxtuated, and was comfortable with it. Sto knew she was a she; Roly that they they were most comfortable with they. And all the apprentices around them... /His/ siblings? He knew for moons that the way now, with him being a tom... it wasn't right. It wasn't /quite/ right. Was he like Stone`paw... a she-cat? He felt like it would be so much... better. But he went back and forth on it. Because he didn't feel like he wasn't a tom at all - he felt it just as strongly. Sure, not what many would see as a model tom, far from it, but still a tom. Could he just be... both? Why didn't he think of that before? ‘She. She has green eyes...’ Petri silently rolled the words on her tongue. ‘She just became an apprentice, with her littermates. He's training to be a warrior. His father is the deputy, Tuna`spirit.’ Pipi's sleek black fur ruffled as he rolled over onto his back. She was smiling. It felt... good. But he was just doing it for himself. What if others called him that? She? And what if it's not just she? He never thought of it. ‘They live in MossClan.’ She'd get back to it...? She could ask her Pa and siblings to use it. He, /and/ she. ‘I'm a she-tom then?’ The young apprentice didn't make terms similar up for others, but for himself? Yeah, it'd work. Petrichor`paw closed her bright green eyes. She could figure this out. This whole, complicated thing out, step by step.
