Tyrants and leaders, campers and writers, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight. And now we invite you to relax, let us summon our pens as the Daily Team proudly presents: your weekly! (inspiration taken from a certain candlestick <3) In our fourth and final weekly of the session, we’ll be exploring a variety of genres! From spy-fi to cashier memoir, we’re in for a wonderful ride – collect your pencils, put on your thinking caps, and let’s get started ;D (This weekly begins on November 24th at 12:01 a.m. UTC – please wait until then to start writing.) Best of luck, and happy writing! ✧ Part 1 Welcome to the final first weekly part of the session! As we begin our journey through the lesser-known genres of the literary world, take a moment to read through the wonderful genre mini-workshops written by Daily Team members in the project. Keep an eye out for a few you might like to write in, and perhaps one you’d like to see in someone else’s writing! Once you’ve read through the workshops, your task will be to pick at least seven genres (although you can do as many as you’d like!) to write at least 200 words each in. This should give you a total of at least 1400 words written in a variety of rare genres – take your time, experiment with your writing, and take your chances in trying something new! You got this - we can’t wait to see what you come up with <3 ✧ Part 2 Welcome to the second part of this weekly, the Secret-Santa-Style Story Swap! Once you’ve finished the first part of your weekly, fill out the form below in the comments. Form: cabin // genre you want the story written in (from the weekly) // short plot description of your story From here, the daily team will assign you someone else’s story to write in at least 400 words! Stories will be assigned around midnight UTC the day after you post your form. We’ll be closing story requests at November 29th at 11:59 pm UTC in order to ensure everyone has time to be assigned and write their stories, but if you’re not able to reach this part of the weekly before then, there’s an alternate option - writing 300 words per genre instead of 200 - that still qualifies for finishing the weekly. Additionally, If you’re not able to finish your story before the weekly deadline, we encourage you to still finish it after, so your partner is able to receive their story! This weekly is due on November 30th on 11:59 pm UTC and will earn 3000 points for your cabin upon completion. ✧ Credits ⭒ for the idea of a Secret Santa ⭒ , , , and for organizing the daily team ⭒ The entire dt for contributing to the weekly <3 ⭒ Thumbnail by on Canva ⭒ Complied and designed by and ⭒ for inspiration for many of the genres ⭒ Full SWC credits here:
