(⚒️) THE MAP STORY a horror tale ☆ by becca❕ ・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・ #prompt ' i watched nervously as the detective marked the place they had found my husband on the map, the woods. relief turned to horror as he continued to circle the farm, the church and factory. however, his map didnt match with mine ' (i got this from tikt0k lmao) ・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・ i heard a stern knock on the door. it was the detective. i opened the door to see his face.'i have great news,' he said with a grin, 'we have located your husband. do you have a pen?' i passed him a red pen as he sat down at my kitchen table. i watched him circle the woods. this confused me until he continued to circle the farm, factory and the church. he left shortly. i ran to my room to retrieve my version of the map. mine had marked several locations: new mexico, arizona, colorado, utah and california. who had moved the body... parts? i decided to visit the woods first, where found the ''crime scene''. i knew these woods well, they were a place my husband and i went to a lot. we had built our own tunnel under where he was found, so i went to visit it. the tunnel was dark and never ending. i took out my phone and used the torch to guide me. the dim glow revealed little, but there was just enough light for me to make out several red marks on the floor. i followed them, and the further i went the more they changed shape. they began to look like footprints. next i visted the farm, where my husband grew up. there i found a rusty old tractor. it was a faded green under the mud and dirt. out of curiosity i climbed into it and saw smudged red handprints on the seat. i ran to the factory, a large building where my husband worked. his job was to pack up the food so it could be sent away. several items seemed to have bites taken out of them. they also had a red stain near the chunks and there was a drip, drip, dripping sound coming from off the table. lastly i visited the church. i ran out to the back where the nuns lived. my husbands aunt was a nun. they were always very close. on the wall outside the nuns' house, i saw a message: 'walking was never hard for me, hannah.' my name was hannah.
