Merry Hanukkah, Scratchers!!!! I wish everyone a cozy and happy holiday. Whether this time of year you celebrate Hanukah, the New Year, or anything else, I hope that you have a safe and warm year. Because our differences make us brave, bold, and beautiful. Hanukah is a celebration that tells the story of a candle whose flame persisted. Kwanzaa is a beautiful holiday to celebrate community and culture. The Chinese/Lunar New Year represents the old leaving and the new coming. Only when we value each others differences, can we learn from each other. While you snuggle up for Christmas, your friend may be lighting a hannukah candle. Or maybe you come home to celebrate Kwanzaa, and your neighbors are getting ready for the new year. Differences are what bring us together. So embrace your peers differences by maybe asking what they do over the holiday, or why their holiday is important to them and their culture, or even share stories with your friends to tell them what makes your holiday special to you, and relate to their stories. So have a great holiday!!
I celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah. Merry Hanukkah is Merry Christmas and Hanukkah.
