Hello there! My name is Xanqua! I am a demigirl and my pronouns are they/xem. I love to do digital art, math, coding, and video games. I am a big fan of Hermitcraft and Lifesteal, and read a biiiit too much fanfic /hj. I don't actually know how long i've been a part of the Gaehive, but it's been at least a year and a half, probably around two. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I am 13 years old in PST and generally online: short bursts about every hour from 7am - 3pm 4pm - 12am on schooldays most of the time 8:30am - 2 am (sometimes later) on weekends most tuesdays i am inactive from 3pm - 5pm most wednesdays i am inactive 4:45pm - 6pm I will try my best to communicate any times I cannot be host! ----------------------------------------------------------------- I feel like I would be a good manager because I believe am kind and a good leader who is also responsible and can respond to difficult situations with maturity. I am good at seeing many sides of an argument, which can help with resolving conflict. Since I am online a large portion of the day, I can respond to situations quickly before they get out of hand. I also don't get muted very often, and when I do it's for something like putting too many s's in "yass" and the bot thinking it was a bad word. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Some downsides to me being a manager would be that I am often awkward while talking to others, making it hard for me to interact with people sometimes. It is mostly due to what I assume is autism (I am being officially tested in January), which also leads to me being unable to understand people's feelings often. I am also only 13, which means that I can sometimes do immature things that I regret, like assuming things too fast. On the plus side I think I am good at taking accountability when that happens. (there are likely many more, but i cant think of any at this moment sob) ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not entirely sure what unique things I could bring as a manager! I know that I would love to organise more studio events though :) ----------------------------------------------------------------- I feel like the Gaehive is very hostile to new members that are either asking questions or from a studio they don't like much, such as the GWDFI. It definitely does not belong in the studio environment, and I hope that people learn that not all LGBTQ+ related queries that sound slightly offensive are meant to be hostile, and should be responded to with the assumption they are genuine. I feel like the ignoring of advice/euphoria comments is not purposful. I know that I myself haven't responded to many in the past due to me not being able to think of solutions for the problem or nice sentences about a person I've never talked to before. I feel like a good way to fix this would be some kind of studio specifically made for advice and euphoria, with example euphoria sentences in the description. I think that it can be very harmful to others when trigger warnings are not used when they should be, or when there are convos about the point of warning for things that some people think are unnecessary. While I don't believe that people should have to use warnings for unavoidable topics like food, it is definitely better safe than sorry when wondering wether or not to warn warn for something. It also can cause arguments when people are very hostile about trigger warnings not being used or everybody shouts "trigger warning!" at once, as it can overwhelm the person who did not warn correctly. You never know the intentions of the people who forgot, so it is best to say "trigger warning" kindly and only if nobody else has. ----------------------------------------------------------------- If I were to be promoted, I would like to make more studio events, and make (spinoff?) studios for euphoria and title/birthday/thumbnail requests. I would also like to make a habit of putting peoples birthdays in the description, as I heard a lot of people were feeling left out. I would try to improve the amount of toxicity towards certain identities and ideas, along with helping new members learn how the studio works. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I would recommend: ! Fae are an amazing person, and xe is very kind and understanding about others, making them a good leader. ! They are very nice and have prior studio managment experiences, which can help. ! He is very cool and has been in the Gaehive for a long time, which means that they have a good understanding of how some conflicts should be resolved.
