A therian is somebody who identifies as an animal on a spiritual/phycological/mental level. When is National Therianthropy Day celebrated? The first full moon of November. Are therians the same as furries? No, although it is a common misconception, being a therian does not mean being a furry (although sometimes you can be a furry and a therian, like me). A furry is somebody interest in anthromorphic animals, and are often interested in dressing in animal costumes and making up characters for it called fursonas. You can choose to be a furry. A therian is somebody who identifies as a certain animal(s) on a spiritual/phycological/mental level. You can’t choose to be a therian, you can only discover that you are one.
