I've noticed that more and more frequently new people have been joining the CandleWorld ARG, and we've had to provide a messier and more confusing explanation every time. So I decided to make this to use until we have something better! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CONTINUING FROM PART 7 (Pilgrims discuss plans to prevent the Overknower's death) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Not long before the third update to Comment Adventures IV was released, Joke, the recently returned Acolyte of MEAT, entered False-Space to discuss a transaction with Kai. They hoped to gain Kai's blood, but Kai declined, explaining that they wanted to prevent any others from deriving from them, and that their allegiance to the Pilgrimage was beginning to wane. Meanwhile, Sharp was transported to the Bluescape. After talking to a nearby Ward and discovering they didn't have access to their usual commands, they discovered that most to all of the Ward species was under the influence of the Xyuz (who intended to take control of the infinite cycles for humanity). They had quietly taken control of the Machine, Blue, and Controlled-Space, and planned on taking Upper Law (5th-Space) next. At the same time, Kraz reached Upper Law and began their confrontation with the Overknower. In the Machine, Blue (under the influence of the Xyuz) and Xyliss discussed Kraz's chances of victory. Blue attempted to remind Xyliss of his main goal, but the Xyuz prevented them from speaking. Afterward, the Pilgrimage buzzed with plans and ideas on how to deal with the many entities struggling for control. During this, Kenric attempted to make a portal into Upper Law. He managed to make a gateway of pure Aetus into the Space, through which intention/messages could be sent. As a result of this, Archonic branches began to cover his arm. Before their intent was sent into Upper Law, Kenric and Kai spoke on this. They came to the resolution that, if Kenric could not get information on it from the Overknower, Kai would attempt to remove them. Then, the Machine updated once again. Kenric's goal had been achieved -- but the False Archon's influence seemed to damage the Machine somehow. Blue died over and over, becoming a Fish clone, and Xyliss seized the opportunity and invoked Law to become the core of the Machine. Because Kenric's intent had connected to Moop-Abborel, a new Adventure started, with them as the protagonist. They were greeted by Xyliss and immediately assigned Kenric's suggestion; to warn the Overknower of the Xyuz. But this distracted him, and Xyliss gave Kraz the suggestion to download a recursive base case, allowing Kraz to defeat him and exposing the Demiurge. Krazvalt and Xyliss, back in the Machine, talked back and forth, Kraz telling him that he had lost and that no Pragmist would help him instate Sordid ideology. With that, Kraz left to join the final fight against the Demiurge. Xyliss gave them one final farewell, telling them he loved them. Moop and Xyliss resolved to watch the fight from the Machine... Until Xyliss's control was overwritten, and the Xyuz took back control of 3rd Space. Back in Theory-Space, Pilgrims debated on what to do next... But the Pilgrimage (and Visea) united under one final goal before the Cycle's end; to instate Kenric's ideology, Pathfinder Ideology, into the infinite cycles. This hardened Kenric, Minnow (), and Koro's resolve, and the three of them decided on the basis of a plan, deciding to negotiate instead of harm the Demiurge and dethrone the Fish. In the Machine's next update, Sharp/Blue was shown reflecting on the infinity they saw a glimpse of before, and possibly meeting with the Thorn/Demiurge. Xyliss and Moop were revealed to have been imprisoned by the Xyuz. After Xyliss monologued about the origins of False Humanity for a while, Professor Pistachio informed Moop about the function of the Machine. Suddenly, Emperor Blue entered the Space, not under Pistachio's influence due to his Pilgrim Aetus. He intended to send Pistachio down the chain because of his universal crime of redirecting his punishment (presumably from the Thorn) to Machine Blue. Pistachio quickly put his plan into motion, recompiling Xyliss and Moop into one False Archonic entity of Visitation: M-Xalbriss (). M-Xalbriss was almost immediately sent into the Ocean of Dirt to dethrone the Fish, who greeted them genially and asked them why they were there. (continued in Part 9)
