Ivy woke up in a bed. It was not the most comfortable, so Ivy shifted around to get to the best position. It wasn't much better, but Ivy had more important things on her mind. Had she "joined the snake" since she was in Slytherin? Was that what her aunt had been talking about? Or had it been more? After the whole ordeal, Ivy had tried to bring it up during dinner that day. Her aunt did not remember any of it and just looked at Ivy with a confused expression on her face. So, Ivy had to figure this out all by herself. But first, she had to figure out where she was. Looking around, she could see she was in some kind of hospital wing and assumed this was where Hogwarts students were sent to when they were hurt. "Hello?" she called out. A few seconds passed before someone responded. "Howdy do?" asked a tall boy lying in the hospital bed next to hers. He had a Southern American accent, which was quite peculiar. "Uh, good?" Ivy was not sure how to respond. "Hush, Xavier," a kind-looking woman scolded. "Let the girl have some rest." Then she briskly walked over to Ivy, completely doing the opposite of what she had said. This did not escape Xavier's notice. "Hey!" he exclaimed in his Southern drawl. The woman ignored him and began talking quickly to Ivy. "Hello, I am Madam Pomfrey, the school nurse. I can tell you are going to be quite the problem, as classes haven't even started and you're already here!" Ivy frowned. She was still worried about the prophecy, but it seemed unfair that Madam Pomfrey was coming down on her while Xavier was in the same situation. "What about him?" She motioned towards Xavier with her hand. Madam Pomfrey chuckled. "Oh, he's a third year and probably has a record for being in here." Xavier smirked. "I do. And don't you think about beating it!" Ivy smiled weakly. "I wouldn't dare." "That's a good thing, dear," Madam Pomfrey said, glaring at Xavier. "Anyway, I believe the children are going to their common rooms now. If you feel well enough, you may go." "How long was I out?" "About 30 minutes." "Oh, alrighty then." Ivy pushed herself out of the bed. Yes, she was upset about getting into Slytherin. But she did not want to miss the tour of the common room! As she headed out the door, Xavier called out to her, "See you around, Ivy." She never told him her name.
