The Girl in the “Mirror” Katie Nov 4 Sat 5:03 pm woods Katie was running through the woods limping with every step, she could feel the blood dripping down her leg. Looking back every second to make sure that….that thing wasn’t following her. She was the only one left, she had to make it, she had to tell someone about the game. Chapter 1 2 Weeks earlier Katie Oct 20 Fri 12:05 pm school courtyard “Hey.” Katie shouts to her friends, sitting at a lunch table in the courtyard and jogs up to them. She sits next to Spencer (The boyfriend/Jock) and leans in to kiss him. “Hey baby.” Spencer says. “Ew, do you guys have to kiss in front of me?” Jessica says. (Best friend/All time horror fan) With that statement Spencer and Katie kiss again and laugh. Jessica rolls her eyes. Brandon just laughed and smiled.(Spencer’s best friend/Jock/Flirt) Katie holds Spencer’s hand.”Oh yeah, don’t you guys have a game tonight?” “Yeah” Spencer and Brandon said with enthusiasm at the same time and everyone laughed. “There’s supposed to be a Halloween party at Liam’s house afterwards. Who’s up for it?” Spencer asks. Everyone raises their hands. “BRIIINNNGGGG” “Well that’s the bell.” Katie says before kissing Spencer goodbye and walking with Jessica to social studies. Brandon Oct 20 Fri 5:30 pm Brandon’s house When Brandon gets home his dad is waiting disapprovingly for him on the couch. Brandon mumbles “God what did I do now?” “Hey dad.” He says glumly. “Where have you been? You were supposed to be here thirty minutes ago so we could get to practice early.” His dad asks. “I was out with Spencer and all of them for a bit.” Brandon replies. “Alright well go get your stuff. We’re leaving. You’re late enough as is.” Brandon obeys and goes upstairs to get his sports bag and goes to the car, mumbling to himself the whole time. Jessica Oct 20 Fri 10:17 pm Liam’s house Jessica was on her phone texting everyone else in the group chat waiting for them to get there. Jessica: Hey r u guys on the way Brandon: Yea I’ll be there in 5 Katie:Spencer and I just got here Jessica:Oh ok I see u Jessica:Brandon text us when u get here we’ll meet u by the mailbox Jessica put’s her phone away and walks over to where Spencer and Katie are. Spencer’s still in his football uniform, his brown hair tousled, and his gray blue eyes full of excitement. Katie on the other hand had straightened her long light brown hair and was wearing black leggings with a Nirvana crop top and looked ready to fall asleep. “Hey guys.” Jessica says finally reaching them in her regular, black and white plaid skirt with chains and a black crop top with freshly dyed black hair. “Hey! Did you dye your hair again?” Katie asks. Just when she was about to answer they all got a text from Brandon. Group chat Brandon:Hey I just got here Katie:Ok Jessica:K we’ll meet u up by the mailbox Jessicca puts her phone away and answers Katie’s question as they walk over to meet up with Brandon. “Yeah. It needed a touch up anyways.” Katie and Spencer hold hands and laugh a little. Brandon jogs up to them also still in his uniform, his dirty blond hair is in his face and his greenish brown eyes are as dreamy as ever.”Hey love.” He says talking to Jessica. “Ew, don’t say that.” She said even though she secretly likes it. Everyone laughed. “Shall we go in?” Spencer asks, gesturing with his hand and leading the way inside. As soon as they got inside Jessica left the group to go get drinks. When she came back she gave Spencer and Katie their drinks but Brandon was flirting with some girl like usual so she didn’t bother him. She looked around and spotted her ex and pulled out her vape and got high and drunk with him.
Katie: Oct 21 Sat 12:38 am, Liam’s house Katie was making out with Spencer when she got a text and looked at the time. “Babe, it’s 12:38 we gotta go.” She says kissing him again. “Mhm.” He says being to drunk to actually know what she just said. “Come on let’s go find the others because I know none of them are fit to be driving right now.” Katie holds Spencer’s hand and looks around the crowd to find Jessica and Brandon. She see’s Jessica making out with her ex and goes over there. “Come on Jess, we're leaving and I’m driving because you're in no shape to drive right now.” “Awww but I don’t want to leave.” Jessica complains going back to kissing her ex. “Let’s go.” Katie says, grabbing her hand and pulling her away from him. “Ugh, Kate, why did you do that?” She whines more. “Just help me find Brandon.” Katie says. “I think I saw him in the kitchen.” Jessica replies. So Katie drags the three of them into the kitchen and sure enough there he was flirting with a different girl. “Come on Brandon I’m taking you all home.” Katie yells over the music. Brandon walks over. “Are they too drunk to drive?” He asks. “Yeah and I’m sure you are too so let’s go.” “Nah, I’ve only had two drinks, but I’ll help you take them home.” “Okay” she says, seeing he’s telling the truth. “Here you take Spencer home and I’ll take Jess.” “Ight.” He says. Katie gives Spencer a quick kiss and they go their separate ways. Spencer Oct 21 Sat 2:32 pm Spencer’s house Spencer finally wakes up and rubs his head having a major hangover from last night. “Where am I?” He says to himself then realizes it’s his room. “How did I get home?” He asks himself again. Then as if answering his question Brandon comes into his room holding a cup of coffee and some breakfast/lunch. “How you feeling?” Brandon asks Spencer. “That was one hell of a night you had.” Spencer laughs a little and says “Awful I feel like I got hit by a truck.” And with that they both started laughing uncontrollably. Once they settle down a bit Brandon say’s “Yeah, drinking for two and a half hours will do that to you.” “Yeah that’s for sure.” Spencer replies, taking a sip of his coffee and checking his phone. “Weird, I don't have any messages from Katie, she must still be sleeping.” “No, she only had a few drinks from last night. She's probably waiting for you to text her because of how drunk you were.” Brandon say’s. “Was my dad home when we came in last night?” Spencer asks Brandon. “No, your mom was, but she was in her bathroom and just heard us come in. I told her I was staying tonight and she didn’t question.” Brandon replies blankly. “Hey do you have any clothes I can borrow though?” “Yeah of course.” Spencer say’s and gets up slowly so he doesn’t get lightheaded and get’s Brandon some clothes. “Thanks man.” Brandon say’s as Spencer hands him the clothes. “Yeah no problem.” Spencer says, finishing up his food and pulling out his phone to text Katie. Spencer:Hey baby sry abt last night hru? Katie:It’s ok, just tired mostly, hbu? U were pretty drunk last night. Spencer:Yeah lol I have a major hangover but other than that I’m ok Katie:That’s good. Well I gtg ttyl babe ok? Spencer:Alr love you ttyl Katie: Love you too
