Katie Oct 23 Mon 4:07 pm In the car Katie had a sad expression on her face as she went to her little sister’s grave. Her sister had passed away when she was a year and a half from a brain tumor that turned into cancer later on and they couldn’t get rid of it. Katie pulled out her phone and tried to find something on the girl in the mirror to distract her. First she tried searching: Girl in mirror but she got nothing then she searched: Smiling girl in mirror and all she got from that was that she was hallucinating which clearly wasn’t the case if everyone had seen her, so lastly she tried: Teen deaths in Summerwoods. After scrolling for a bit she found an article about a girl who had committed su!sid3 by sl!tt!ng her wr!st$ in 1785. Her name was Elizibeth Thatcher, she was the daughter of the highest power. Charles Thatcher was her father, he was a ruthless man and whatever he said was final, everyone understood not to argue with him or face the punishments. There wasn’t a picture of Elizibeth Thatcher though, so Katie searched her name, and there she was, the girl in the mirror. She was beautiful, she had long black wavy hair, her eyes were a piercing dark blue that complemented her hair quite well. She had a slender face with a light dusting of freckles across her cheekbones and nose, her lips were soft and simple, she looked as if she was a doll, perfectly crafted. Immediately after reading it, she messaged Brandon and forwarded him the information so he could tell everyone else. Brandon messages back but she didn't have time to respond since she had just arrived at the graveyard and was overwhelmed with emotions.
Katie and her parents walk over to her little sister's grave, her fathers arms wrapped around her mothers shoulders as her mother cries silently. Katie tries hard not to cry like every year, but every year a few tears roll down her cheek and she quickly swipes them away. A tear always slips and she hates it. She wishes more than anything that she could just be happy knowing that her sister lies in heaven and is safe. It’s painful to think about what she lost, the opportunity to be a big sister and just imagining what they would have done together if only she had made it. As they finally walk up to her grave Katie starts putting daisies around it since it's the flower her sister was named after. She cries silently, putting down flower after flower to spell her name. When she finishes, her and her parents do their now yearly tradition of writing a note and tying it to a balloon then they each take a daisy, give it a light kiss and also attach it to the balloon, then they all let their balloons go at the same time. Once they finish they all walk together to the car, Katie's dad still comforting her crying mother and Katie walking beside them both. Katie gets in the car, wiping away her tears and pulls out her phone so she can read the text from Brandon.
