To make him prove that he won't take the same path as his parents, the leader forced him to become a medicine cat, believing that he would be less likely to be influenced by them if he made a connection to StarClan. Many moons later, the clans band together due to several problems (prey shortages, cats dying, stuff like that). Quartzclaw and Birdhop are the only medicine cats. However, Birdhop was made a full medicine cat early and hadn't yet finished their training, so Quartzclaw is technically the only fully trained medicine cat. At first, Quartzclaw finds Birdhop's immaturity and naivety annoying. But after a while, he finds that he doesn't mind so much. i MIGHT make a comic with these two i have been thinking about it for a while. unfortunately if i ever did they would not be the main characters :( they would still get SOME focus but the world don't revolve around them lol
