The Umbra's Odyssey - Prologue

Testing out a story idea I was fiddling with, please tell me how you like it! Also, this is a bit much, I PROMISE THE REST OF THE CHAPTER GET BETTER, A LOT! ---------------------------------------------------------- Umbra stood, with Fortuna at the Edge of Kitrealm. They both knew that there were other worlds out there. For example, one was filled with player from another realm, playing this world, 'Bedwars' and using the kits. Fortuna was a more popular kit than Umbra, but people still used Umbra. "Where is he?" grumbled Fortuna. "He said he would come." Umbra shrugged. "Maybe he got lost, Fortuna. I never know with Crypt." Fortuna fiddled with his card deck. "Why don't we do something while we wait? Challenge?" A red screen popped up between them. Challenge? yes no Umbra clicked yes. Fortuna did the same a moment after. Fortuna smirked. "You sure you're ready?" "Bring it on!" Umbra grabbed his wooden sword, and yelled, charging at Fortuna. Fortuna sidestepped and launched a flurry of cards at Umbra. Umbra went sailing across. "AAaAaAa" Umbra regained his footing and threw his hat on Fortuna. "Hey! don't mess up my hat!" Fortuna called. Umbra then traced a rune, and shot forward in a dark mist towards Fortuna. he landed on Fortuna, but Fortuna launched Knockback cards, flinging Umbra out of sight. Umbra respawned in front of Fortuna. "You win!" panted Umbra. Fortuna laughed, then looked around. "Crypt's STILL not here. Somethings's wrong, for sure." "Hey! what do you think you're doing!?" Trinity called from above. Fortuna and Umbra booked it. "Let's get outta here!" "Hey!!" Fortuna launched knockback cards at Trinity, laughing. Fortuna and Umbra were back at Kitown. "Think he'll be back yet?" Fortuna smirked, organizing his cards. "Life steal, Poison, OoO.." Umbra sighed. "See, THIS is why we should always put my hat on someone! This!" Fortuna rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but its kinda like a st@lker, seeing what everyone is doing." He closed his fists and his cards dispersed. He then brought out a walkie-talkie. Fortuna then proceeded to hit it agenst the table. *BaNg bAnG* Umbra grabbed it from him. "Hey!!" Fortuna protested. Umbra adjusted the antenna. "Hey, Crypt, you there?" He set it down. "Static. Crypt really shouldn't be gone this long." Fortuna then grabbed it and started to bang it again: "work." "Work." "WORKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK." The static stopped. Numbers lit up on the screen. "Good thing for my tracker. That's where he is." Umbra smiled. "Huh. that's way outta the range he should be in. Looks like we have to rescue them." Fortuna stood up. "Let's go!!" he bolted out the door. "Wait up!" called Umbra, dashing after him. Fortuna skidded to a halt, and jumped behind a crate. "Ugh. Warrior's on gaurd duty." He pointed to the exit harbor. Boats could be found and purchased here, to travel. However, few kits had premission. Mostly the older kits used them. "At least it's not Sheila or Amy." Umbra panted. "Fortuna, do you have those smoke cards?" Fortuna brought out some cards. "You mean exploding cards? Yeah." Fortuna smirked, jumped up, and launched the card's at Warrior. Bang BOOm BAnG. Smoke blocked Warrior's vision. "Hey! Smoke, this better not be you. Seriously!" protested Warrior. Fortuna and Umbra ran, grabbed a little boat, and sailed off. Fortuna looked up. "here's our realm borderline. you sure he's past it?" "Yup." Umbra pulled the lever, and they said off after their friend into the unknown. A thunder was heard, faint, and the small p i n g of border crossing was heard, but they did not hear it or see it, or pay attention to the red dawn skies.
