Waah I’m late :( WELP who cares not me hehe Name: Crown Gender: Female Age: 13 Special features: Retractable wings Story (I worked very hard on this pls read): Crown was a normal dog living with her mom and brother in the kingdom of Wfengle (dont ask). It was ruled by a decent king. One day, when Crown was eight, the king passed a new law (idk what it was), and Crown’s family didn’t like it. So they didn’t follow it. Turns out it was more serious than they thought, because the whole family got arrested and, after being declared guilty at court, thrown into the king’s dungeon. Five years passed. One day, when Crown was thirteen, someone came to visit. He was a crow, and he was dressed like a king. “Greetings,” he started. “I am King Croe of Brdonia.” She recognized him now. King of the neighboring kingdom… which was also their kingdom’s worst enemy. “I come with a proposal,” he continued. “I will end your sentence and give you a nice life… if you work for me.” “Not on your life,” Crown’s mom said. But crown had different opinions. “Deal,” she said. “No, Crown, don’t!” her mom protested. “Mom,” Crown said, "I understand that you want to make sure your kids make good decisions, and I respect that. But I'm thirteen now, and I'm old enough to decide how to lead my life." She let King Croe unchain her, and they started off toward Brdonia. "We're almost there," he said about an hour later. "You'll see it when we come over this hill." She couldn't help but gasp in awe at the sight that lay before her. Pines were everywhere, and there was a big village in the middle. In the center of it all was the castle. She was assigned the duty of messenger, and underwent special training, including letter duplication, swift delivery, and bringing out wings she never knew she had. She was smart, so she mastered these in a month. She was then given a mail uniform. It was a black dress, a crow hat, a mail bag, and three different gold necklaces. They actually looked really good on her! She then got into the mail routine, but every few days she would get a letter from King Croe to deliver with special instructions: "Above all else, do NOT read this letter." (yes she was allowed to read all the other ones.) Everyone in the town loved Crown-- or, well, so she thought. (This is where the PMV ends but keep reading I'm not done) One day, while she was carrying one of the special letters, she heard a BANG! then something hit her. She thought someone had fired a bullet at her, but no, it was just a net. She fell to the ground, where a gang of Brdonians were waiting for her. "Destroy that letter, or we will, along with you," they threatened. In the three seconds she had to think, she could think of one option. She bolted off into the woods. She had a good head start, but knew they would catch up eventually. Then the idea: Read the letter, memorize it, destroy it, then duplicate it! She knew that was going against Croe's orders, but it was the only option. She opened the letter... and nearly stopped in her tracks as she read it. This letter was inviting a mysterious kingdom-- strong by the sound of it-- to start a war against Wfengle. She may have been a Brdonian now, but she still loved her old kingdom. Wfengle could fight Brdonia alone, but Brdonia and this strange new ally? It didn't stand a chance. "All who resist us shall perish..." she read. She remembered her mom's exact words when Croe offered his offer, back in the dungeon. "Not on your life," she had said. She remembered she had pursuers, so she memorized the letter, destroyed it, and took off to the skies. She guessed it had worked-- they weren't following anymore. She copied the letter, sealed it, forged Croe's handwriting on the letter, and delivered it. Then she sent a letter to Wfengle warning them of this threat. While she was halfway back to the castle though, she remembered something crucial. She had forgotten the kingdom seal on the forged letter. Desperate, she turned back and went to retrieve the letter. But it was gone. She knew that the receiver would read it, know it was forged, tell King Croe she must have read it, he would get mad-- then what? Imprisonment? Torture? Death? Something far worse? She wasn't taking any chances. She went to a random spot in the forest and broke through the canopy there. She scattered some of her feathers and fur on the ground there, and then cut herself to sprinkle some bl00d as well. She then attracted over a badger to sniff around there. There. It was done. When King Croe went searching for her, he would find this spot and think she had been injured mid-flight, and then a badger had gotten her. She was safe, for now at least. She ran through the forest until she came across a secluded patch in the forest with a cave that would make a nice hideaway. She would hide there. And everyone would think a badger ate her. The world would revolve eternally, and wars and death would happen, but she would stay hidden away for life.
