changeling children, in fae lore if one of the fae takes a liking to a mortal child they will often steal the mortal child and leave one of their own, often sickly or starved, child behind. they don't belong to a court but the same rules apply. there are ways to get the stolen child back and in theory you could trick the fae into keeping both children...
