EDIT: There's a new Ideas page! RUN IN FULL SCREEN FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE! 8/21: We got it to the ST! They actually loved, favorited and commented on the project, thanks ST <3
(warning: long text ahead, but read if you want to know the explanation behind this design) Welcome to my concept of the new Ideas page! This is designed to be (mostly) accurate to the current Scratch website, with some new out-of-the-box ideas too. I've put careful note into making this not too impossible to implement into the actual Scratch ideas page, and have put several tips on how the different functions of the Ideas page should function. Also, I'm not saying every single part of this concept has to be implemented, but if they were, that would be really cool! I hope the ST takes a look at this and considers it! *** These mockups are not official! *** They are simply proposals to the Product Design team so that they can (hopefully) implement this. Also this design is not perfect (or consistent - there are some errors here and there) - so please don't be *too* nitpicky. :P The ideas generator I mention inside the project does NOT have to depend on AI - you could just have a list of project categories, a list of adjectives/verbs, and nouns, and combine 1 element from each of the lists to create an "idea". This is easier to implement and is more safer and easier to use. Also, the Block of the Day, Studios, Revisit Your Projects, and Remix This panels do not have to be hand picked. For example, Remix it! projects can pulled randomly from the latest project interactions (loves, favorites, etc.) with a certain amount of remixes, and Studios can be picked randomly from a database of past featured studios, following studios, and/or popular or trending studios. The reason for the Remix it! and Studios panels like what you see here instead of just going to the front page, is that A) it provides more variety than just looking at the same projects over and over again (which gives the user more ideas), and B) in the case of Remix it!, it is more personalized to the user, which makes it more likely they will consider such idea. Also, yes, this is a very old project ID, but this was actually created relatively recently - I just used an old project ID to avoid indexing issues. _________________________________ Thanks to the following Scratchers for loving the project: - ❤️ by - ❤️ by - ⭐ by - ❤️ and ⭐ by - ❤️ by - ❤️ by CREDITS: Many of the designs and icons came from the Scratch Team or Google Fonts: https://fonts.google.com/icons Music: "Upbeat Energetic Rock" by Vivaleum from Pixabay.
