INFO Welcome to Scratch Deathrun, revamped! Some of you may have played the previous project (which is discontinued) here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/508407342, but I'm starting fresh with this version. Expect better, harder-to-avoid traps, more fun gameplay, and maybe even cloud multiplayer support in the future! HOW TO PLAY As the Runner, use arrow keys or WASD to control your character (blue circle) and avoid the traps! Try to get to the finish in each level in as few deaths as possible. Hint: blue = finish, green = checkpoint, red = lava, yellow = bouncy As the Killer, your objective is to stop the Runner from reaching the end by activating traps with the number keys 0 - 9. Experiment to discover what each trap does and then use that to your advantage to make sure the Runner doesn't make it! NOTE This game will officially be released on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Currently, it is open to a few people for playtesting, the game is unplayable for anyone else.
CREDITS Coding - Mostly me, a small platformer script taken from "The Longest Platformer Ever!" by @Steepmoth Art - 100% by me Thanks to Roblox Deathrun for inspiration CHANGELOG Prerelease 12/3/23 - v0.1 - Added player, outline of the first level, and 1 basic trap. Big plans for this project 12/4/23 - v0.3 - 2 more traps (3 total), checkpoints, and a secret :). A whole bunch of variables and lists too 12/5/23 - v0.5 - Added a lava spinner trap and 2 others (6 total), on the last stretch of creating the first level! I might even add cloud multiplayer... 12/7/23 - v0.8 - Last 2 traps (8 total) finished for the first level. Next will probably be a menu screen and other polish elements 12/9/23 - v0.8b - The secret has been changed since it was kind of overpowered and to give an extra checkpoint to avoid the tedious trap 3-4-3 combo. An actual title screen and thumbnail will be released in v0.9. 12/11/23 - v0.9 - Okay, actually, the title screen will be made in v0.9b or v1.0. Meanwhile, there IS now a (actually pretty cool looking) thumbnail and everyone can now play the project. I decided to release it early because I was tired of waiting (lol)
