This is just me advertising that you should read my favorite webcomic for several paragraphs. At least skim through it For those of you who don't know already (which, I wish was less of you, but you're probably already aware) I have been obsessed, for the past two months, with an amazing webcomic called The Glass Scientists. I've found a few people who are also in my boat (more like people I dragged into my obsession, y'all know who you are) and I am here to talk about it! Let's go! First off, and I cannot stress this enough, read the webcomic. Literally just look up "the glass scientists" and it is right there. Just the first chapter, I beg of you. Well, maybe a little more. Or a lot more. Read all of it, it's great. The Glass Scientists is an adaptation of Jekyll and Hyde. It is not the same story, but it's got Jekyll, and it's got Hyde, and it has a few of the same plot points and characters. I have, in fact, read the original novella, so I sort of know what I'm talking about? It was written in 1886 so it uses some words that I don't quite understand. But it's great and you should read that, too, if it's up your alley. Anyways, if you're wondering where my profile picture is from, it's from The Glass Scientists. This character, more specifically, is Edward Hyde. He is my favorite, and nothing will change that unless he does something wildly terrible in the future of the comic. But for now, we're good. Now for me to list off the reasons why you should read this webcomic: - If you like The Owl House, SVFOE and/or Gravity Falls, the creator of The Glass Scientists, Sage Cotugno, storyboarded several episodes on all of them (credited under their deadname, because at the time, they didn't go by Sage) - If you like J&H, as previously mentioned, this is an adaptation of J&H. - Queer things! Its got lots of queer people in it (some gay, bi, trans, etc.) - If you dislike Mondays (relatable), the comic updates Mondays, and its always really exciting seeing the new page. Always makes my Monday better - Dude, please just read it. It's great, and I am very happy I read it. You have no reason not to (unless you're homophobic or scared extremely easily) so do it.
If you want to read it, I direct your browsing to over here: https://www.theglassscientists.com/comic/archive Credit to Sage Cotugno for the amazing webcomic that this entire project is dedicated to advertising. If you are a fan of this webcomic, feel free to add a comment. If I get enough people invested in this, I might just make a studio for just being fans of this. Right image: My physical copy of Volume 1! It brings me a lot of joy to flip through the pages and see the pages which I have looked at a million times online, but in real life this time. Left image: My profile image. It comes from The Glass Scientists, and can be found, more specifically, on Chapter 15, page 1 (I recited that from memory. I'm in too deep y'all)
