ryan and avery by david leviathan - two gay 16y/o boys with dyed hair, one trans. honestly i havent finished reading it yet but its so good, great use of idioms. freeing finch by ginny rorby - 6th grade transfeminine girl and a dog (eventually). her father sucks and her mother is dead and her stepparents are okay eventually and her old woman neighbor is awesome and her friends that had to move away are also awesome. different kinds of fruit by kyle lukoff - i read this in 2022 and its almost 2024 now so, not much memory, but i do remember loving it. it was genuinely really good and memorable though. cis girl and father drama and nonbinary crush and small town and good book just read it. smh
