First, you have to press the start button. If it isn't appearing, then press the stop button and then green flag. Next, you can select the language or word (doesn't matter which order) once you are done, just press confirm. You can learn to pronounce it if you keep your volume up. To reset just press stop button and then green flag (if you just do green flag it will not work. Also make sure to specify simplified or traditional if you are using Chinese.
