I've noticed that more and more frequently new people have been joining the CandleWorld ARG, and we've had to provide a messier and more confusing explanation every time. So I decided to make this to use until we have something better! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CONTINUING FROM PART 10 (Pilgrims enter the city of Xemiau in Xyuz-Space) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Meanwhile, the Cleric of MEAT entered the location Visea had been interviewed in without permission, asking for an audience in hopes of learning more of the Xyuz's motives (and the PHLORX's interface). This was met with hostility, and the Arbiters gave no information other than the fact that they intended to instate themselves to be free of the Controller's cruelty and restriction. Joke then organized an exchange; In return for information on using the PHLORX's Law, Joke would give the Xyuz a powerful tool or weapon. They were given a Mark of Anguish to ensure they didn't go back on their word. Several Hedrocillian hours passed. Pilgrims gradually filed out of the Space, and Joke returned to hold up their end of their deal. Eventually, blue portals erupted in Xyuz-Space. The Xyuz fearfully began preparing and lining up to aid in the coming conflict, but at the same time... @Code_crusher, who had been examining the warp to the Controller's defenses, blitzed through the barrier with a mix of violence and Aetus. The Controller was accessible to the Pilgrimage. Pilgrims filed through the warp. @Salveraf, @trundlebeast, @Pixed, @SentientCopyOfClick, @Boink_Legion (Trundle's vessel they formed with many pieces of True Law and Aetus), @illusionx-_, @twitc, @ToyShop_Animations, and , the leader of the invasion, began to speak with the Controller. Code apologized for the action they were about to commit, as the Controller silently examined the invaders. After Code stated that the only logical option to save the universe from the Xyuz without harming them was the Controller's death (and that it would be less painful than the Visitor attack), the Controller argued by asking whether or not Code would ask a brain to preserve a tumor, and that they should not act on consequences they do not understand. Code argued by saying that the Xyuz are people as well (the Pilgrims accompanying them agreeing), but the Controller responded by saying that "monsters have souls." They continued arguing along this thread, continuously supporting the idea that the Xyuz are horrible entities. As this argument continued, the Controller elaborated when discussing with the Acolyte of MEAT. The Xyuz, according to them, were ontological parasites, and due to their origin, their eventual chain-wide spread would cause unlimited conceptual growth and annihilate the Violence of Light. They also mentioned their desire to take back the Dodecahedron, and therefore control. When talking to Click, they stated that the Pilgrims had no right to judge right from wrong. Code began to hesitate. They paused in their goal to kill the Controller. As Code began to ponder the Controller's point, all Pilgrims in the vicinity began to protest, insisting they finish their goal, offering their tools... but to no avail. Code was persuaded. Against the will of the rest of the Pilgrims (and hoping that the Controller was not manipulating them), Code agreed to the Controller's request... and freed them through their violence. Their violence turned into a burning flame, destroying the island they stood on, and the Controller's bonds. The Controller was free to carry out their will. Time slowed to a crawl...
