Welcome to identity, class 5! Mundane vs magickal is something in witchcraft, but I thought it might make for a good analogy in alterhumanity. M vs M is realizing what is just a coincidence and what is actually magickal/ alterhuman. For Instance, Bob thinks he is a bee. Bob enjoys cooking. Bob thinks this might relate to his bee-ness because bees make honey. Right now Bob is being unrealistic. So many people like cooking, but they are not bees. However, Joe also think he is a bee. Joe thinks that because he really, really, like making jelly/jam, things that are very similar to honey he might be a bee!
Joe of course would need more evidence and research but he is much more likely to be a bee than Bob is. Either that or Bobs cooking just doesn't relate to his bee-self. Hope you learned something, and your homework is to eat a snack/meal based on what your kintype eats! Then tell me what you ate in the comments. (Along with ur kintype, obviously)
