An edit, not by @randomdudeperson , but by @BANANA_ROTATE :) Time to dump some lore that my brother won't be aware about. Apparently an Etarian year lasts around 1.5x as long as an Earth year. I want to ask about how the tides are with the rings and moons, or how life is with 3 stars and strange orbits, but no. There are 3 time periods in Hectarian (after the star) history, B.R. D.R and A.R. (Before Revolution, During Revolution, and After Revolution.) During B.R., kingdoms and empires rose and trade flourished, life was good, even if people weren't that advanced. There were 3 major beliefs that coexisted, Drachisi, (multiple gods) Gaar, (1 god) and Hvam (no gods, just science) Summary of beliefs: (I'll discuss later) With Drachisi, there was void and eventually material in the void. Then 3 major gods formed and took form as stars and then created planets (lesser gods), who created the moons. (even less powerful gods, but still can do stuff.) With Gaar, at some point a really long time ago, there was one god who created the entire universe, let things settle a bit, and disappeared and slept. They'll eventually wake up when the universe ends and then make it again. With Hvam, everything was already there. There are no miracles, just luck and reason. Things happen because of other things. There is probably a logical reason for everything, even if we don't know. History: Before Revolution - Hectarians establish themselves. ~6700 B.R. - Hectarians began to make tools and form groups, along with discovering fire. ~3100 B.R. - Most Hectarians settled down formed societies, pretty much the Agricultural Revolution. ~2800 B.R. - Major civilizations had established themselves, and although there was a good amount of new technology created afterwards, not much happened until later. A few small battles and disputes over land, but no wars. ~1700 B.R. - Some civilizations become empires. Fleets of ships follow a chain of islands and eventually get to the other landmass. This happens a lot over the next few centuries, though mostly in this one. They discover many new animals and a few native people who were from the Utolazae tribe and were swept away by storms. There is peace between them. Unfortunately, only a few ships go back to the mainland, leaving only stories and speculation about the other continent. ~470 B.R. - People discover explosives while experimenting with sulfur. However, still no wars, though explosives are now used in extracting ore. It could be used in times of war or to defend, but hopefully not. ~130 B.R. - A few earthquakes. ~80 B.R. - Some tsunamis disturb the small kingdoms and tribes in coastal areas. Some astronomers notice small rocks are breaking off of the moon Kulina, a medium sized moon in comparison to the other moons. ~50 B.R. - Larger pieces are breaking off of Kulina, tides currents are changing and people are worried of what might happen. ~10 B.R. - Kulina is splitting. Meteors are falling and the world could be thrown into chaos. Despite everything, there is no war, empires are still holding themselves together. --- During Revolution - "700 Long Years" The moon Kulina splits and forms into rings near the end of this period.
Inspired by @TheOneWho_Asked, once again edit by @BANANA_ROTATE again :) @randomdudeperson will probably never finish this.
